About J&P

So you want to know a little about us?  We are Johnston and Payne (J&P), a locally owned and operated cleaning service.  Traci is the Johnston and Mary Kathryn (MK) is the Payne and together we own and operate Johnston and Payne Cleaning.  We have lived in Grant Park for over 14 years and love our neighborhood.  We are passionate about organic gardening and get overly excited about our vegetable garden.  Traci and I are crazy about all animals and have three large dogs sharing our home.  Our love of dogs and cats is why we are so pet friendly and do not ask our customers to crate their “kids.”  Professionally we were in the restaurant business for many, many years (too many honestly).  The cleaning services we used were a constant source of frustration for us in our business.  We spent a lot of time managing poor quality work and that was if they showed up.  Then we were both working crazy hours and the cleaners we used for our home kind of stunk too!  Well we knew we could do it better and set out to do so.  I won’t bore you with all the details, but we did our homework and learned firsthand about the industry and are licensed, bonded, insured and doing business-well.  

Our philosophy is simple: hire the best people and treat them and the customer in the way we would like to be treated.  We are customer-centric in our approach.  We will earn your business and never take you, the customer for granted.  Allowing us in your home or business takes a lot of trust, and we never forget the trust you place in us.  Only J&P employees clean your home, not a subcontractor.  We are reasonably priced, but not the cheapest.  The old adage rings true: you get what you pay for.
